Getting real Facebook likes to your brand page can be a difficult task. Fake ones? Sure those are easy. Buy a few gigs on Fiverr and it can look like you have hundreds, even thousands of Likes on your page. But real ones, those can be difficult. Especially if your brand covers topics that aren’t necessarily viral material.
So what can you do to get more Facebook Likes? What have you tried up to this point? What has worked? What hasn’t worked? I would like to share with you what has worked for me and many other brands that I have helped promote on Facebook. The following are 5 simple, yes simple strategies for getting more real Facebook Likes. Execute them properly and you will succeed:
Strategy #1: Facebook Advertising
Sometimes you’ve got to spend some cash to get your brand seen by the public eye. Facebook advertising is one of the more popular ways brands get more new Facebook likes. You’ll want to make sure your page is all “spiced up” first so that when people do click on the ad… they want to subscribe! A simple $100 per month or so should do the trick!
Strategy #2: Calls to Action In Blog Posts
If you’re executing on your blog strategy correctly… you should be getting some decent traffic from your efforts. Instead of pushing people to buy your product or service in your blog posts, push them for one more “micro yes” and have them like your page on Facebook.
Strategy #3: Links to Facebook Page in YouTube Descriptions
Just like avid Twitter users tend to be Google+ users, avid YouTube users tend to be avid Facebook users. There is a big correlation here you can take advantage of. Create valuable content in the form of video, publish it to your YouTube channel, and have links in all of your video descriptions that say “Like us on Facebook.”
Strategy #4: Links to Facebook Page in Guest Post Bio’s
Hopefully you are guest posting regularly to help you improve your branding and SEO results. If so… put a link in your bio every now and then to your Facebook page. You’ll get a ton of Likes this way if you’re getting good promotion with popular blogs in your industry.
Strategy #5: Instagram, Instagram and more Instagram!
Setup an Instagram account, link it to your Facebook account, and start taking more pictures relating to your brand. The web is becoming more and more visual and Facebook users more than most, love to look at photos! Instagram is the best and easiest way for you to create great content this way for attracting new likes.
Do these strategies require effort? You bet they do! Like anything in life, if you want to succeed you’ll have to sacrifice and work hard for it. But these strategies won’t require any real strategic change for you or technology change. Just good old fashioned effort. Make no mistake about it, these strategies work when the effort is there.
One more quick tip: One I didn’t mention in the list of 5 strategies above due to the fact that it takes a bit more effort and complexity is integrating QR code links to your Facebook page in all your print materials i.e business cards, brochures, flyers etc. This strategy also works well in getting more likes… especially for local businesses.
